About DOC-tor Techie Rph Mobile Services

Our Story


I’m Pheshetta Thomas, founder of this company, and I’d like to share a bit about my journey and how this business came to be.


My first job was as a cashier at a popular drugstore. I later became a pharmacy technician and decided to pursue a career as a pharmacist, as my greatest strengths—being knowledgeable, helpful, and patient—aligned well with the role. I graduated from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2008 with my Doctor of Pharmacy degree and went on to work as a community pharmacist for over 15 years.


As an accessible and trusted source of information, people often came to me for much more than medication-related questions. I regularly assisted with cell phones and other electronic devices, replaced watch and glucometer batteries, helped patients navigate the healthcare system and understand their insurance, and even contacted other healthcare providers as an advocate on their behalf. I found great purpose in helping people accomplish what they could not do on their own, and it meant a lot to hear patients say, “Thanks, Doc!” after I helped them.


Over time, however, the increasing responsibilities and workload placed on chain pharmacists made it difficult to spend the one-on-one time with patients that I valued most. I became burned out and no longer found fulfillment in the traditional retail setting. During this transition, I began providing shopping and delivery services while searching for a less demanding pharmacy role.


At the same time, my strong aptitude for technology became even more apparent. Family and friends frequently called on me for help with their devices, and my husband often referred to me as “Techie.” I realized that while it could be challenging to guide people over the phone, I was highly effective when helping them in person.


That realization sparked an idea: I could bring the services I loved—patient education, medication support, and hands-on assistance—directly to people in their homes, where I could offer the time, attention, and personalized care they deserve.


This is how my mobile services business was born—combining my professional training and natural abilities into a service that truly meets people where they are.
